It's Harvest Time! - ¡Es tiempo de cosecha!

Yesterday, we started harvesting basil, lettuce, chard, mustard, bok choy, radish and turnip greens.

Ayer, comenzamos a cosechar albahaca, lechuga, acelga, mostaza, bok choi, y hojas tiernas de rábano y nabo.

























Until we make arrangements with the vegetable stand across the street, our goods are available at the front of entreAmigos.

Hasta que hagamos un arreglo con la verdulería al otro lado de la calle, nuestro alimento estará disponible en la entrada de entreAmigos.

If the bags are too full, just take what you need, and please leave a donation in the jar at the boutique counter.

Si las bolsas están demasiado llenas, sólo tome lo que necesita, y por favor deje una donación en el jarrón en el mostrador de la boutique.

Someone has been eating in the garden already! We built our garden fence to keep dogs and cats out, but we forgot about the iguanas... Got to support your local native fauna!

We will be harvesting basil, lettuce and mustard greens tomorrow morning. Harvest starts at 8:45am. Please bring a bag if you intend to take some greens home.

Today was a hot day. After the Temascal (Sweat Lodge happening next to the garden at 11:00am every other Sunday (next temascal will be Sunday May 15)), I walked the garden and noticed signs of heat stress.

Tomorrow we'll be observing each garden to collectively determine if any of them needs water. It will be revealing about how some beds fared, after (purposefully) not being watered for a week!

¡Alguien ya ha estado comiendo en el jardín! Construimos nuestra malla para mantener a los perros y gatos fuera, pero olvidamos las iguanas... Hay que apoyar la fauna nativa!

Estaremos cosechando albahaca, lechuga y mostaza (hoja) mañana por la mañana. La cosecha empieza a las 8:45 am. Favor de traer una bolsa si quiere llevarse algo para casa.

Hoy fue un día caluroso. Después del Temazcal (al lado del jardín, domingos intercalados a las 11:00 am (el siguiente será el domingo 15 de mayo)), caminé por el jardín y noté señas de estrés por calor.

Mañana observaremos cada jardín para determinar colectivamente si alguno de ellos necesita agua. Será revelador ver cómo les fue a algunas de las camas, después de no haber sido regadas (a propósito) por ¡toda una semana!
