Happy Mother's Day! - ¡Feliz Día de las Madres!

Yesterday, I was eager to check the plants after a hot Sunday and not watering for 7 days (last big watering was on May 2). All the beds looked great. It's remarkable how healthy the plants look, how little water they need and how very few weeds we get.

Ayer estaba ansioso por checar las plantas después de un domingo caliente y de 7 días sin riego (la última irrigacion fuerte fue el 2 de Mayo). Todas las camas se veían magníficas. Es notable lo sanas que se ven las plantas, la poca agua que requieren y las pocas malezas que tenemos.

Two beds were cultivated yesterday (breaking the soil surface with a fork) to help more moisture get to the plants. The rest of the beds will be cultivated today.

Dos camas fueron labradas ayer (quebrando la superficie del suelo con un bieldo) para facilitar que la humedad llegue a las plantas. El resto de las camas serán labradas hoy.

I went around town this morning after harvest to offer our lettuce and basil to Cafe Organico and Cafe Arte. They were delighted to take our products. Sales are going up!

We should only have lettuce for another week, so come get yours while we they last...

Estuve andando por el pueblo esta mañana tras haber cosechado para ofrecer lechuga y albahaca al Café Orgánico y Café Arte. Estaban encantados de recibir nuestros productos. ¡Las ventas están al alza!

Tendremos lechuga sólo por otra semana, así que venga por la suya mientras dura...

Mangoes are ripening and starting to rain on us... The big fig tree next to the garden is full of happy parrots in the morning. New bugs are awakening everyday...

Los mangos están madurando y cayéndonos como lluvia... La gran higuera al lado del jardín está repleta de pericos felices por las mañanas. Cada día despiertan nuevos insectos...
